Job summary

Moonfare in London seeks a Director of Data to own the data strategy and execution across a fast-growing private equity platform. You will lead data engineering, analytics, and architecture, shaping an AI-enabled operating model while partnering with Engineering, Product, and executives to drive self-serve reporting and governance. The role blends strategic leadership with hands-on technical work.

Qualifications

• Experience leading data engineering, analytics, and architecture teams.
• Track record building data platforms in regulated financial services.
• Strong stakeholder communication with executives.
• Experience with AI and agentic systems in production.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute Moonfare's data strategy.
• Lead a 6-person data team across data engineering, analytics, and architecture.
• Architect and build data infrastructure across investment, investor relations, operations, and compliance use cases.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and business to enable self-serve reporting and operational intelligence.
• Embed compliance and regulatory thinking into every layer of the platform.
