As we innovate to solve critical problems there’s no more exhilarating time to be part of this journey! - Diane Abela CISO

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Data Protection and in‑house DPO to help shape the next chapter of our privacy and data protection journey. This role is pivotal in ensuring that as we grow and innovate we continue to protect the rights of our users and patients while enabling the business to move at pace.

You will be a key leader in our Technology division working as a trusted partner to the CISO, supporting the business through its next phase of growth. You will help ensure we remain at the forefront of safe and responsible digital health innovation. You’ll be instrumental in driving responsible innovation especially as we expand into AI‑powered products and will champion privacy at the heart of everything we do.

The Unique Challenges You’ll Solve

These challenges go beyond typical tasks. You will be a leader who challenges the status‑quo and shapes our future.

  • Develop and own a forward‑thinking privacy strategy: support our mission of responsible innovation, positioning privacy as a business enabler within a fast‑paced Healthtech environment. Challenge the status‑quo in how we implement privacy practices and controls within our products and services, focusing on how privacy can enable healthcare communication.
  • Enable the rollout of safe and compliant AI for our users: guide how we responsibly leverage AI in our products and safely roll them out to customers, ensuring patient data is safeguarded at every stage.
  • Build a scalable privacy function: manage and continuously develop a high‑performing privacy and data protection function, coaching and mentoring the current team and scaling as needed.
What We’re Looking For

We need a leader who embodies our Principles and thrives on significant challenges. We’re seeking the core skills below, coupled with a mindset ready for real impact.

  • Innovative mindset: proven ability to guide technology organisations through responsible innovation and transformational change, especially where emerging technologies like AI/ML intersect with sensitive data; stays ahead of regulatory changes and trends in digital health, AI and data ethics.
  • Thought leadership: experienced in innovating and transforming privacy practices, challenging traditional industry approaches to implement compliant and novel privacy methods.
  • Leadership & team growth: demonstrated experience building and leading privacy or data protection teams, nurturing talent and fostering a culture of trust and collaboration.
  • Driving change through influence: can influence at senior leadership level and partner with technology product and clinical teams.
  • Continuous improvement mindset: pragmatic business‑enabling approach, balancing compliance with speed in a scale‑up environment.
  • External facing stakeholder management: strong communication skills, able to represent the business externally to regulators and partners.
Our Principles in Action
  • Fix healthcare communication: all of our efforts are centred here.
  • Raise the bar: build an exceptional team, hire for expertise and new ideas, maintain high standards, give honest feedback and only deliver work we’re proud of.
  • Be a driver not a passenger: make things happen, focus on the right problems and bring energy to deliver ambitious goals.
  • Succeed together: succeed only as a team, mission matters, company success always comes first.
  • Move with urgency: work at pace, focus on users and impact, every day lost is a missed opportunity to improve lives.
  • Be relentlessly resourceful: embrace constraints, think differently, be creative and focus.
  • Embrace challenge: value constructive conflict over harmony, have tough conversations for the best outcome.
