Client Server Limited is seeking a Head of Data Operations in London to lead market data services and drive data quality across asset classes. The role combines technical execution with strong stakeholder management and mentoring of a small team.

You’ll work with front office teams and vendors, evaluating data sources and coordinating testing and releases to ensure data remains timely and fit for purpose. Flexible hybrid work in London is available.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Data Analyst in financial services, supporting front office or market data functions.
• Strong understanding of market data, pricing and time series data.
• Proficient in Python and SQL with ability to query large datasets.
• Experience collaborating with trading, research, risk or compliance stakeholders.
• Analytical, detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Own the firm’s market data services for London and mentor a small team.
• Improve data quality, accuracy and operational efficiency across asset classes.

Head of Data Operations (SQL Python Data Feeds) London to £140k

Are you an experienced Data Analyst with strong financial markets experience looking for a role where you'll work directly with front office teams and influence how data is used across a global investment business?

You could be joining a leading investment firm where you'll play a key role in delivering high quality market and reference data that underpins trading, research, risk and compliance.

As a Head of Data Operations, you'll take ownership of the firm's market data services for London as part of a small team in conjunction with the teams in New York and Singapore, helping to improve data quality, accuracy and operational efficiency across multiple asset classes. You'll work closely with Trading, Research, Risk, Compliance and Middle Office teams to understand data requirements, deliver new datasets and support business critical initiatives.

You'll evaluate new data vendors, define requirements for data projects, oversee testing and production releases and act as the technical point of contact for complex data issues.

This is a highly visible role where you'll combine technical expertise with stakeholder management and mentoring, ensuring the firm's market data remains accurate, timely and fit for purpose.

Location / WFH:

You'll join colleagues in prestigious Central London offices (with onsite restaurant, gym etc.) with flexibility to work from home once a week.

About you:

• You have strong experience as a Data Analyst within financial services, supporting front office or market data functions
• You have experience with market data vendors (e.g. Bloomberg, Refinitiv, ICE or similar)
• You have a good understanding of financial instruments, market data, pricing and time series data
• You're highly proficient with Python, SQL and querying large datasets
• You have experience working with trading, research, risk or compliance stakeholders
• You have excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a strong attention to detail
• You can manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with both technical and business users
• You have achieved a 2.1 or above in a relevant field e.g. Data, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analysis or other quantitative discipline
