Ofcom is seeking a Director of Research Innovation and Data to maximise value from the Research & Intelligence team’s data and drive a refreshed strategy. You will lead data strategy, analytics, and innovation, delivering timely insights and ensuring accessible, high-quality data across Ofcom.

You will co-lead the R&I function with peers, oversee a programme of work, and influence cross‑Ofcom operating models while maintaining strong external partnerships and stakeholder engagement.

Formación

• Data science / AI capabilities with tools and analytics to deliver insight from large datasets.
• Strong data ethics and responsible use of data.
• Understanding of research methodologies to study consumer behaviour and market outcomes.
• Experience running complex programmes and managing budgets and people resources.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver strategy.
• Experience in management and leadership roles.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships across teams and external partners.
• Experience leading organisational change.
• Ability to communicate highly complex analysis clearly to varied audiences.
• Track record applying data-derived insights to regulatory, policy or market contexts.

• Lead quality assurance, data ethics, analysis and presentation best practices.
• Create frameworks and culture for experimentation in research methods and analytics.
• Build partnerships across teams and with external regulators to share best practices.
• Represent Ofcom externally and contribute to leadership in future operating models.
