Job summary

Pertemps Network Group is seeking an experienced Head of Curriculum to lead the strategic development, innovation and quality across apprenticeships, skills bootcamps and commercial training programmes.

Hybrid working in the UK with 1–2 office visits per quarter; you will lead a team of Curriculum Product Managers, shape national curriculum strategy and ensure employer-led, commercially viable programmes that are inspection-ready, with a focus on AI, Data, Cyber Security, Software Development

Qualifications

  • Significant experience leading curriculum development within Apprenticeships, Further Education, Commercial Training or Skills provision.
  • Proven experience managing curriculum teams and driving performance.
  • Experience within Digital, Technology, AI or Data programmes.
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted, quality frameworks and funding requirements.
  • Experience participating in or preparing for Ofsted inspections.
  • Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above.
  • Experience developing high-quality, employer-led learning programmes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the curriculum vision and strategy across all training provision.
  • Drive curriculum innovation in emerging skill areas including AI, Digital and Technology.
  • Ensure all programmes are employer-led, learner-centred and commercially viable.
  • Oversee curriculum design, development, implementation and evaluation.
  • Support new programme creation, funding opportunities and growth initiatives.
  • Analyse labour market intelligence and employer demand to inform curriculum planning.
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Curriculum Product Managers.
  • Create a high-performance culture focused on innovation and quality.
  • Manage curriculum planning, prioritisation and resource allocation.
  • Support succession planning and professional development within the curriculum team.
  • Establish clear objectives, performance measures and development plans.
  • Ensure curriculum aligns with Ofsted expectations and funding requirements.
  • Oversee quality assurance processes across all learning programmes.
  • Work closely with Quality and IQA teams to drive continuous improvement.
  • Monitor learner outcomes, feedback and performance metrics.
  • Ensure curriculum remains current, accessible and responsive to industry needs.
  • Maintain oversight of learning technologies, LMS platforms and digital learning resources.
  • Build strong relationships with employers, awarding organisations and sector stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with delivery, quality, sales and business development teams.
  • Contribute to tenders, bids and strategic growth opportunities.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for curriculum development and skills provision.

Salary: £55,000 - £58,000

We are recruiting on behalf of a highly respected national training provider that delivers apprenticeships, skills bootcamps and commercial learning programmes across digital, technology, business and professional services sectors.


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of Curriculum to lead the strategic development, innovation and quality of curriculum provision across a diverse and growing portfolio. The organisation is investing heavily in future-focused skills areas including Artificial Intelligence, Data, Cyber Security, Software Development, Digital Marketing, Leadership, HR and Learning & Development, making this a pivotal appointment during a period of significant growth.


As Head of Curriculum, you will play a key role in shaping the organisation's curriculum strategy, ensuring programmes remain innovative, employer-led, commercially relevant and inspection-ready.


The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Service Delivery Director, you will lead and develop a team of Curriculum Product Managers while maintaining oversight of the full curriculum lifecycle across Apprenticeships, Skills Bootcamps and Commercial Training programmes.


This role combines strategic leadership with operational excellence, providing the opportunity to influence curriculum design at a national level while helping learners and employers develop the skills needed to succeed in a rapidly evolving workforce.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Curriculum Leadership


  • Lead the curriculum vision and strategy across all training provision

  • Drive curriculum innovation in emerging skill areas including AI, Digital and Technology

  • Ensure all programmes are employer-led, learner-centred and commercially viable

  • Oversee curriculum design, development, implementation and evaluation

  • Support new programme creation, funding opportunities and growth initiatives

Essential Experience
