Qualifications

  • Vocational qualification at a minimum of Level 3, which is appropriate to the area.
  • Level 4 Teaching Qualification.
  • A strong understanding of Quality Assurance Processes.
  • Experience in working effectively with employers/partners to develop current and new provisions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop a curriculum that meets learner needs and supports growth.
  • Lead, manage and develop the implementation of curriculum for an outstanding learner experience.
  • Motivate and develop a team of staff while championing continuous improvement.

In this pivotal role, you will lead a dedicated team in the delivery, development and continuous improvement of all learning programmeswithinCounselling, Education and Early Years. You’ll hold full accountability for teaching, learning, and assessment across multiple funding streams, as well other key aspects of managing the department.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our counselling and education provision, driving excellence and innovation for our learners.

This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week.

Interviews for this role will take place on-site, at one of our college campuses in Weston-super-Mare.

Day to day duties.
  • To design and develop a wide curriculum that meets the needs of learners, supports growth, and enables them to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours they need to progress into meaningful sustained destinations.
  • To effectively lead, manage and develop the implementation of curriculum that creates an outstanding learner experience.
  • To lead, motivate and develop a team of staff and support their career journeys while championing a cycle of continuous improvement.
Required skills and qualifications
  • Vocational qualification at a minimum of Level 3, which is appropriate to the area.
  • Level 4 Teaching Qualification.
  • A strong understanding of Quality Assurance Processes.
  • Experience in working effectively with employers/partners to develop current and new provisions.
