From pre-production planning to post-production polish, you'll be the person defining and enforcing the creative and operational standards that make every piece of content Nonsensical-quality. As Head of Content, you'll lead our in-house production team, content creators, editors, and producers, ensuring everything that leaves the edit suite is strategic, slick, and scroll-stopping. - Lead all production at Nonsensical: Overseeing shoots from planning and logistics to delivery and sign-off.
- Oversee pre-production: Ensuring best practices in scheduling, resourcing, location planning, kit management, risk assessments, and coordination between creatives and clients.
- Oversee post-production: Lead the editing workflow, provide feedback on drafts, ensuring all content meets brand tone, quality standards, and delivery deadlines.
- Own the production process: Build and refine systems for briefing, file management, approvals, and content handover.
- Continuously assess and improve production workflows: Identifying bottlenecks, implementing new tools, and evolving processes that enable creativity and efficiency.
- Be the final sign-off on content quality: Nothing goes live without your approval.
- Lead and develop the content team: Support videographers, editors, and producers; set clear standards, provide feedback and help them level up their craft.
- Work cross-functionally with creative, strategy, and account teams to ensure ideas are executed on time, within budget and to the highest quality.
- Maintain oversight of production budgets and ensure shoots run efficiently.
- Develop best practice frameworks for filming, lighting, audio, and editing for TikTok-first content.
- Stay ahead of TikTok trends and production innovation from editing techniques to gear, formats, and tools.
- Champion the Nonsensical look and feel, ensuring every video feels distinctive, creative, and crafted for the platform.
- Strong production background. You've led shoots, managed post-production, and understand what makes social-first content work.
- Deep knowledge of TikTok and short-form video platforms, including formats, pacing, transitions, and editing trends.
- Experienced in managing creators, editors, and production teams.
- Confident giving clear creative feedback and maintaining high standards.
- Exceptionally organised and comfortable balancing multiple shoots, edits, and deadlines.
- Comfortable with fast turnarounds and ever-changing client needs.
- You've scaled or restructured a content team, introduced new systems, and driven cultural or creative change.
- Strong understanding of on-set production practices, including lighting, sound, framing and direction.
- Skilled at building systems that scale from workflow templates to production calendars.
- Calm under pressure, with a solutions-first mindset.
- Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar tools.
- Understanding of how AI can help in the production process is a big plus.
- Experience aligning production with creative strategy and business goals - is a major advantage.
