An outstanding secondary school in Coventry is seeking an exceptional and forward-thinking Head of Computer Science to join its successful team on a permanent, full-time basis, starting as soon as possible.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and motivated educator to lead a thriving department and shape the strategic direction of Computer Science across Key Stages 3 to 5, including GCSE and A Level.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strong academic and pastoral leadership within the Computer Science department.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons across all key stages.
  • Lead curriculum design and innovation, ensuring alignment with current technologies and best practice.
  • Monitor and enhance pupil progress and achievement.
  • Play an integral role in developing the school's digital learning strategy and supporting colleagues in embedding technology across the curriculum.
Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified Computer Science Teacher with proven experience teaching GCSE and A Level.
  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge across programming (e.g. Python, Java), algorithms, systems architecture, networks, and cybersecurity.
