Compliance Professionals is assisting an international bank to appoint a Head of Compliance for its London Branch. The role requires senior compliance and AML leadership, with strong PRA and FCA regulatory understanding, and data protection oversight.

The post involves maintaining compliance frameworks, training staff, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements across UK and international activities, including monitoring and reporting to senior management.

Qualifications

• Senior level compliance and AML experience.
• Understanding PRA/FCA rules and data protection legislation.
• Experience with financial crime legislation and JMLSG guidance.
• Familiarity with SOCA and regulator expectations.

Responsabilités

• Oversee the compliance framework within the Branch as proposed to the CCO.
• Ensure regulatory requirements are embedded in business strategies for the Branch.
• Maintain the Management Responsibility Map, statements, risk assessments and monitoring plan.
• Communicate regulatory obligations to senior management and staff.
• Advise on regulatory requirements for new business or products.
• Manage data protection (GDPR) and data retention.
• Provide AML/financial crime training to staff and induction training.
• Monitor activities for regulatory compliance and escalate issues.
• Inform senior management of enforcement actions and regulatory updates.
• Promote a strong compliance culture across the business.
