Full Job Description

This world-wide leading technology company, with operations in countries including the United Kingdom, Germany, and several other European countries, is seeking a Head of Compliance Europe to lead the corporate compliance program across Europe.

The role involves maintaining, enhancing, and implementing the compliance program, conducting investigations, managing third-party due diligence, and collaborating with business leaders to foster a culture of ethics, integrity, and compliance. The focus areas include anti-bribery/corruption, antitrust, and export controls. The Head of Compliance will report to the Head of International Compliance and work with compliance professionals globally and cross-functional stakeholders to advise on risk management.

Responsibilities include:

• Sharpening compliance strategy and promoting a proactive compliance culture, including risk mitigation;
• Enhancing and implementing policies, procedures, training, and programs;
• Strengthening third-party management systems related to supply chain vendors and service partners, including due diligence and monitoring;
• Managing compliance issues raised through reporting systems;
• Conducting investigations in collaboration with other functions and external counsel;
• Advising business leaders on risk management and compliance improvements;
• Serving as a subject matter expert on compliance implications of services and legal changes;
• Maintaining and developing compliance and ethics programs, ensuring training reflects latest standards;
• Engaging with government, industry, and peer groups on compliance issues.

Requirements:

• You must be a UK qualified lawyer with at least 7 years of PQE and experience in compliance, litigation, and investigations;
• Experience within the technology sector;
• Experience in compliance work and data protection, including investigations involving internal and external teams;
• Expertise in at least two of the company's focus areas, with familiarity with the UK Bribery Act, FCPA, and relevant case law;
• Experience advising senior management and influencing enterprise-wide change;
• Proactive, practical approach to risk management.
