Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of UK regulation with expert knowledge of FCA requirements; PRA knowledge is a plus.

About The Role

Contract type: Permanent; Hours: Full-time, 35 hours; Location: Head Office, Nottingham (Hybrid working, minimum 2 days per week)

We’re looking for an exceptional Head of Compliance Advisory to elevate our Second Line capability and position compliance as an enabler for responsible growth.

In this pivotal leadership role, you’ll set the vision for advisory excellence, influence strategic decisions, and guide the business confidently through complex regulatory landscapes. Your modern, risk‑based approach will ensure advice is pragmatic, proportionate, and commercially aware, supporting innovation while safeguarding the business.

Through thought leadership and deep engagement with senior stakeholders, you’ll champion a compliance agenda that strengthens resilience, supports sustainable growth, and positions the business for long‑term success.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Shape and lead a proactive, solutions‑focused Compliance Advisory function that enables responsible growth while upholding compliance integrity.
  • Executive Influence: Act as a trusted partner to senior leaders, embedding compliance into strategic decision‑making and ensuring regulatory obligations are met without compromising agility.
  • Pragmatic Advice: Provide clear, risk‑based, and commercially aware guidance that balances regulatory expectations with business objectives, always safeguarding reputation and resilience.
  • Enable Innovation: Integrate early in change programmes, product development, and strategic initiatives to support safe, sustainable innovation.
  • Team Development: Inspire and develop a high‑performing advisory team, fostering collaboration, expertise, and a culture of integrity and curiosity.
  • Regulatory Engagement: Represent the function at executive forums, act as deputy to the Director, and ensure compliance perspectives shape strategic discussions.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain trusted relationships internally and externally, championing regulatory excellence and promoting a culture of integrity and accountability.
