Job summary

Allen & York Ltd is seeking a senior compliance and governance lead to own the group-wide control environment, covering ISO certifications, GDPR, risk and business continuity. You will work with the leadership team to drive improvements across systems, processes and controls.

You will oversee HR operations, data protection, supplier compliance and statutory inspections, shaping the future of governance across a growing engineering services group.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in compliance, quality, HR operations or integrated management systems.
• Strong understanding of ISO-based systems, employment processes, GDPR and risk management.
• Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels across engineering, construction or regulated services.

Responsibilities

• Lead and improve integrated management systems, ISO certifications and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee HR operations, onboarding, vetting and workforce records.
• Manage GDPR, data protection, AI governance and corporate risk.
• Coordinate supplier and subcontractor compliance, accreditations and insurance renewals.

The company have demonstrated continuous growth and as a result have created this role to take ownership of group-wide compliance, SHEQ, governance and business support

Our client is seeking an experienced professional to lead and develop the control environment across HR operations, integrated management systems, risk management, data protection, accreditations, facilities and business continuity.

Working closely with the senior leadership team, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the business remains compliant, well-governed and operationally resilient, while driving continuous improvement across its systems and processes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and improving integrated management systems, ISO certifications and regulatory compliance.

• Strong HSEQ background able to oversee necessary process and culture change .

• Overseeing HR operations, employee training, onboarding, vetting and workforce records.

• Managing GDPR, data protection, AI governance and corporate risk.

• Coordinating supplier and subcontractor compliance, accreditations, and insurance renewals.

• Maintaining oversight of assets, facilities, fleet and statutory inspection requirements.

• Developing business continuity plans, risk mitigation strategies and effective audit processes.

About you

You’ll bring senior-level experience in compliance, quality, HR operations or integrated management systems, ideally within engineering, construction or a regulated service environment. You'll have a strong understanding of ISO-based systems, employment processes, GDPR and risk management, combined with the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels.
