Job Title: Head of Compliance

Salary: £65,000 + benefits

Job Type: Mon - Fri. Full-time, Permanent

We're looking for a confident, proactive Head of Compliance to lead and shape our company-wide approach to safety, risk, and governance. Your role in detail

• Fleet & Transport: Oversee DVSA compliance, manage operator licences, review driver and telematics performance, and build strong supplier partnerships.
• Health & Safety: Lead safety culture, report to the Board, manage audits and incidents, and ensure contractors and facilities meet legal and insurance standards.
• Insurance: Act as main contact for insurers, manage renewals and claims, and ensure timely First Notification of Loss (FNOL) reporting.
• Legal & Procurement: Review supplier and customer contracts, support dispute resolution, and champion best-practice governance.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive compliance initiatives, support ISO and FORS accreditation goals, and embed a proactive, safety-first culture.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in a senior compliance role within a transport and logistics environment.
• CPC qualified and willing to be named on the company's Operator's Licence.
• Strong knowledge of DVSA, H&S, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Pragmatic, solution-focused approach to risk and compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams.
• Proactive mindset – you see around corners and act before issues arise.
