About This Opportunity

We’re looking for aHead of Commercial Performanceto lead strategy and drive excellence acrossBusiness & Commercial Banking (BCB). You’ll design and continually improve the performance framework that enables outstanding sales performance & success inSME,Mid Corporate (MC), andBusiness Banking (BB)segments.

Your work will align BCB scorecards, board-level metrics, Group Finance priorities, and Executive Leadership goals - connecting day-to-day activity with long-term ambition.

As a Senior Leader, you'll lead a team of around80 colleagueswithinCommercial Performance & Enablement (CP&E), shaping how BCB defines, delivers, and communicates its performance story.

You’llown the core lead indicatorsthat guide the BCB operating plan and trading performance, providing a complete, end-to-end view that empowers confident decision-making. Acting as a key link between front-line sales, product, channel, and Finance teams, you’ll champion growth, operational effectiveness, and data-driven insight.

You’ll also lead the development offuture-ready data capabilities, using innovative technologies such asGenerative Business Intelligence (Gen BI)to deliver intuitive, accessible insights that strengthen strategic decisions. By combining strategic leadership with advanced data capabilities, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of BCB performance!

Key Accountabilities
  • Design and maintain the performance system for SME, MC, and BB segments.

  • Align scorecards and metrics with organisational priorities.

  • Lead data and insight frameworks using tools and emerging tech including automation.

  • Own executive reporting, dashboards, and management information.

  • Monitor performance trends and lead interventions.

  • Drive collaboration across Coverage, Finance, Product, and Operations.

  • Champion process improvement and contribute to strategic programmes.

  • Lead the Performance Support Team for SME Coverage and onboarding projects.

What You’ll Need

Your application will have demonstrable experience of the following:

  • Commercial Awareness & Critical Thinking– Connect performance insights to customer growth productivity and cost optimisation

  • Insight-Led Decision-Making:Skilled in using data to shape decisions, asking the right questions to help leaders understand the drivers behind performance.

  • Data & Analytical Approach– Understand the journey from source data to visualisation and insight.

  • Tech-savvy– Confident with Power BI, Excel, and automation tools (Gen-BI)

  • Inclusive Leadership– Build high-performing, diverse teams and develop talent.

  • Risk Ownership& Governance–Strong ownership of risk and controls, ensuring reporting accuracy and compliance.

  • Exceptional CommunicationSkills– Simplify complexity for different audiences.

  • Attention to Detail– Deliver high quality accurate outputs for executive review.

  • Collaborative Partner:Skilled at building relationships across various business units and teams across the Group

  • Process Improvement Expertise– Use digital tools for process mapping and transformation to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
