Sellick Partnership is partnering with a London-based Local Authority to appoint an interim Head of Commercial to lead the Planning, Property and Contracts teams and deputise for the Monitoring Officer. The role offers hybrid working, 1-2 days in the office, and an interim contract of 3 months or more.

The successful candidate will be a qualified solicitor/barrister/chartered legal executive with current practising status and strong local government experience.

• Qualified Solicitor/Barrister/Chartered Legal Executive with a current Practising Certificate.
• Experience in a local government setting is essential.
• Strong leadership and client-care skills are required.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the Planning, Property and Contracts teams and provide strategic legal advice to the Council.
• Line manage the Planning, Property and Contracts teams and deputise for the Monitoring Officer when required.
• Deliver high-quality legal services across the Council, ensuring compliance and risk management.
• Promote the Council's services and support cross-department collaboration.
