The Head of Commercial Analysis will lead financial and commercial analysis efforts within the challenger business bank, driving strategic decision-making and growth. This role requires a results‑oriented professional with expertise in commercial decision‑making, driving portfolio performance, forecasting, profitability analysis within a retail bank, fintech, challenger bank, business bank or any lender.

City of London location, hybrid 3× days a week in office.

Challenger Banking & Financial Services.

• Develop and oversee commercial analysis to support strategic business objectives.
• Provide insights into financial performance and market trends to inform decision‑making.
• Lead and manage a team to deliver high‑quality financial and commercial reporting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Accounting & Finance to align business strategies.
• Identify key growth opportunities and risks through detailed analysis.
• Support the development of pricing, investment, and revenue strategies.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.
• Continuously refine processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in analysis.

Profile

• Proven expertise in financial and commercial analysis within a retail bank, fintech, challenger bank, business bank or any lender.
• Strong understanding of Accounting & Finance principles and practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage small teams effectively.
• Experience in developing and implementing strategic business plans.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and financial modelling techniques: Advanced Excel, PowerBI and maybe SQL.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
