Job summary

Chaucer, based in London, seeks a senior professional to lead the class catastrophe modelling function across all classes. You will own modelling delivery, manage capacity, and embed changes into BAU while supporting risk appetite reporting and underwriting decisions.

You will lead a multidisciplinary modelling team, oversee data quality, and coordinate with Underwriting, Portfolio Change Manager and other stakeholders to drive portfolio management and strategic outcomes.

Qualifications

• Significant class catastrophe modelling experience.
• Experience leading class modelling delivery and quality assurance across multiple classes.
• People-management experience.

Responsibilities

• Own class modelling delivery across all classes, setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Lead portfolio analysis and explain material movements across gross catastrophe position.
• Ensure class modelling outputs and data are accurate and clearly communicated.
• Lead and develop the Modelling teams, managing capacity and flexible resourcing.
• Report delivery, risk and capability needs to Portfolio Change Manager.
