Job summary

Nottingham City Council is seeking a Head of Children with Disabilities to lead services for disabled children and young people across Nottingham. Hybrid role based at Loxley House, Station Street, Nottingham NG2 3NG, with a salary of £75,323 - £84,396 per year.

Head of Children with Disabilities Job Description

As Head of Children with Disabilities, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and leading services for disabled children and young people across Nottingham.

As a member of the Children's and Education Services Senior Leadership Team, you will provide strategic leadership across social care and short breaks services, ensuring children and families experience clear pathways, timely support and high-quality provision that enables them to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Working with education, health, social care and community partners, you will drive service improvement, strengthen inclusion and ensure services are tailored to meet the diverse needs of children and young people.

We are seeking a passionate and influential leader with extensive experience of working with children with disabilities and their families. You will bring strong strategic and operational leadership skills, alongside a commitment to partnership working, quality practice and continuous improvement.

You will play a key role in developing a more joined‑up, accessible and responsive offer, ensuring disabled children and young people can access the right support at the right time and remain connected to their families and communities wherever possible.
