Job summary

The Humane League UK (THL UK) is seeking a strategically-minded leader and manager for our Programme s team. Reporting to the Managing Director and sitting within the Senior Leadership team, the successful candidate will be passionate about THL UK's mission of ending the abuse of animals raised for food.

Qualifications

• Proven track record turning strategy into well-run programmes with budgets and impact evaluations.
• Experience leading and line-managing teams across campaigns and functions.
• Ability to negotiate with senior stakeholders in business and government.
• Public speaking experience, including on camera, and comfort with high-pressure campaigning.
• Strong analytical skills to measure impact and inform decisions.

Responsibilities

• Set THL UK’s programmes strategy and turn the theory of change into plans, budgets and impact evaluations.
• Lead cross-team collaboration to plan, deliver and learn from campaigns.
• Oversee corporate and public campaigns, and government/public policy influencing.
• Monitor progress, share learning across teams, and support fundraising with evidence of impact.
• Line-manage programme managers/leads and manage the programme budget.
• Act as senior spokesperson for THL UK with media, coalitions and the wider movement.
