A large public sector organisation in the United Kingdom is seeking a senior individual responsible for ensuring statutory compliance and driving improvements in service quality. This role includes managing corporate governance, contract management, and strategic planning for the organisation. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Business and have significant experience in contract and performance management. This position offers a chance to influence and improve key organizational operations.
We are currently supporting a large public sector organisation in the appointment a senior individual, responsible for ensuring the organisation meets its statutory, regulatory, governance, commercial and contractual obligations, whilst continuing to provide effective, safe, high-quality services.
Reporting to the Director covering Strategy and Finance, the individual will be responsible for managing four key aspects of the organisation:
This individual will lead on strategy, business planning and the commercial management of the existing contracts and their performance. Will provide contractual and commercial expertise and support to the organisation with a particular focus on sustaining and improving on the performance management and associated subcontracts together with other commercial contracts in place. They will ensure that any contractual arrangements operate within good practice contracting guidelines, whilst maximising benefits and minimising risk to the business.
Oversee the management and reporting of corporate risk, compliance, quality and highlight where evidence is suggesting variation in implementation and compliance with policy standards and processes and address accordingly including ensuring staff have appropriate training.
Produce Risk and incident reports with appropriate trend analysis and present at the monthly Risk Panel, Operational Management Group Meeting (OMG) and as required by the Board of Directors.
Analyse complex operational information from audits and national reviews ensuring that the learning is taken forward appropriately.
Degree in Business or equivalent professional qualification in Business Management or substantial demonstrable experience.
Significant experience of contract and performance management of services.
The ability to think and act strategically and to articulate a clear sense of direction and vision to a wide audience and communicate complex issues to all levels of the organisation.
