Job summary

All Saints' Church of England Academy in Rugby is seeking a subject specialist to lead teaching and learning in the department, drive attainment and help shape the subject's policy and practice across the academy.

You will work with colleagues to develop the departmental plan, monitor progress, and contribute to the whole-school strategy, ethos and improvement agenda, ensuring high-quality teaching and inclusive provision for all students.

Responsibilities

• Strategic direction and development of the subject: develop and implement policies and practices to reflect the academy's commitment to high achievement through effective teaching and learning.
• Teaching and learning: provide aspirational and effective learning experiences for students, with lessons of at least good quality; lead subject staff in teaching and learning.
• Leading and managing staff: guide department staff, induct new teachers, manage collaboration and delivery of department policies.
• Resource Management: oversee resources and timetabling within the department, ensuring a stimulating learning environment and safe practice.
