An educational institution is seeking a passionate Head of Art to lead a committed department. Candidates should be able to deliver Art at GCSE and A-level, with a strong academic background. Head of Art
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Head of Art, committed to the quality of learning and teaching and to providing an engaging and inspiring experience for the pupils. You will lead a supportive and committed Art department.
You will be able to deliver the subject to GCSE and A-level standard, and have experience of teaching Fine Art to a high level. You will convey interest and passion for the subject in the classroom.
We are looking for a candidate with high expectations of students, who will maintain the high grades achieved in recent years while also promoting a love of the subject inside and outside the classroom.
This is a full-time permanent post. Loretto has its own salary scale and salary will be determined by experience and aptitude for the role.
You will have a recognised teaching qualification and be registered with the GTCS or in the process of achieving this.
You will also have the following skills and experience:
All members of staff have broader roles in the pastoral care of children and the extra-curricular life of the school which would include opening the Art department outside lessons. You will be a tutor to around ten tutees and will also undertake an evening duty in a boarding house once a week.
