Job summary

The King’s School, Gloucester is seeking a proactive Head of Admissions to lead pupil recruitment and manage the admissions team. You will oversee the entire admissions journey, from initial enquiry to enrolment, while delivering exemplary customer service and coordinating recruitment events to support future growth.

Reporting to the Director of Development & External Relations, the role requires strong leadership, data literacy, and collaboration across Marketing, Academic, and Development

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team of admissions or student recruitment professionals.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with families.
• Customer-focused service mindset with attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage multiple events.
• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret admissions data.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Admissions Team and ensure high-quality service to prospective families.
• Act as ambassador for the School, promoting its distinctive strengths.
• Oversee end-to-end admissions journey from enquiry to enrolment.
• Develop and manage recruitment events (Open Mornings, Open Evenings, etc.).
• Maintain admissions database accuracy and generate regular reports.
• Collaborate with Development, Marketing, and Academic teams to support growth.
• Coordinate entrance assessments and scholarship procedures with colleagues.
