University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust invites applications for the Trainee Clinical Specialist Sonographer (Head & Neck) in Radiology Ultrasound. This NHS AfC Band 7 role is a structured development pathway toward autonomous practice, working with experienced teams to deliver Head & Neck ultrasound and ultrasound-guided procedures.

Candidates will develop competency through a supervised training programme, contribute to cancer and rapid diagnostic pathways, and deliver

Qualifications

• Qualified radiographer with HCPC registration and BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography.
• Postgraduate ultrasound qualification and ongoing ENT CPD.
• Experience in autonomous ultrasound reporting within current scope.

Responsabilités

• Undertake supervised Head & Neck ultrasound examinations as part of a competency framework.
• Develop skills to independently interpret, report and communicate findings.
• Participate in ultrasound-guided procedures such as Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA).
• Support ENT, Head & Neck cancer and rapid diagnostic pathways.
• Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to diagnostic reports.
• Engage in audit, governance and CPD activities.
