Job summary

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Blackpool, Lancashire, is recruiting a Consultant in ENT (Head & Neck) on a permanent contract. The role includes outpatient and inpatient work, a 1:5 on-call rota with prospective cover, and a 10-session-per-week workload.

The post requires GMC registration, FRCS or equivalent, and involvement in MDTs and teaching. You will join a team of consultants delivering specialist ENT services across the Blackpool area, with opportunities to

Qualifications

• Full GMC Registration
• FRCS or equivalent
• Working towards CESR or European Community Rights (must be confirmed by GMC by the date of AAC)
• Entry on the GMC Specialist Register
• Relevant higher degree, diploma or other post graduate qualification

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient service at Blackpool Victoria Hospital with the department
• Carry out benign head and neck and diagnostic ENT procedures
• Support the Neck Lump Clinic with radiology and fast track sessions
• Supervise ENT and Head & Neck procedures and manage complications
• Attend Head and Neck MDT and Thyroid MDT
• Contribute to teaching and education; provide emergency on-call as required
