Job summary

Dumfries and Galloway Council is seeking a Lead Gymnastics Coach to manage the delivery of our gymnastics programme at DG1. You will coordinate and monitor the coaching team, promote participation, liaise with schools and community groups, and ensure pathways with the governing body.

The role requires Level 2 Coaching Gymnastics, supervisory experience, and a strong focus on customer service, health and safety, with PVG scheme update as required. Daytime, evening and weekend work are expected.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Coaching Gymnastics Qualification required.
• Supervisory experience of staff.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to promote activities to a wide audience.
• PVG Scheme membership required or PVG update.
• Flexible to work daytime, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, promote, develop and monitor the gymnastics programme.
• Manage the Gymnastics Coaching Team and delivery.
• Liaise with schools, community groups and customers.
• Respond to feedback and monitor programme quality.
• Liaise with governing body and ensure pathway clarity.
