Job summary

AFC Fylde is seeking an experienced Head Groundsperson to lead all grounds maintenance across Mill Farm Stadium and Kellemergh Park. The role requires delivering elite playing surfaces and managing a season‑long maintenance plan.

Reporting to the COO, you will supervise the maintenance team, coordinate with the Director of Football and First Team Manager, and ensure high standards for training pitches and matchdays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the sports turf industry.
• Experience with pedestrian mowing and turf machinery.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems.
• Understanding of fertilisers, pesticides and Health & Safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a season‑long maintenance plan for Mill Farm Stadium and Kellemergh Park.
• Oversee day‑to‑day pitch and surrounding area maintenance, matchday prep, and equipment management.
• Provide weekly pitch‑condition updates to COO and Director of Football, and manage purchasing PO processes.
