Job summary

Chipping Sodbury Golf Club is seeking a Head Greenkeeper / Course Manager to lead the maintenance and development of the golf course. You will work with senior management to deliver outstanding year-round playing conditions and implement a long-term strategy for course improvement.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive turf management experience, Level 3 Sports Turf qualification, and strong leadership with a focus on sustainable resource management.

Qualifications

• Experienced turf management professional with leadership ability.
• Level 3 qualification in Sports Turf Management or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of modern golf course management, agronomy and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the greenkeeping team, creating a professional working environment.
• Deliver excellent course presentation throughout the year.
• Develop and implement strategic maintenance programmes and long-term course improvements.
• Prepare and monitor departmental budgets and expenditure.
• Oversee machinery replacement and irrigation systems.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
