Job description

Overview

A Head Chef Position is available at a popular destination located within an area of outstanding natural beauty near York. On the site there is a retreat centre, visitors centre, shop and tea Room. As Head Chef you will take a leading role in delivering quality food in the tearoom as well as creating the menus, you will also work closely with the exec chef to deliver quality food for the retreat centre, events and staff. The role is 5 days over 7, 40 hrs a week, straight shifts, overtime paid and the site is closed over Christmas.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of quality food in the tearoom and create menus.
• Collaborate with the executive chef to plan meals for the retreat centre, events and staff.

Requirements

A Head Chef who has experience working in a fresh food environment, who is seeking a new challenge in their career. It is essential that you have worked in fast paced kitchens, are a good organiser and work well under pressure. Your own transport will be required due to the location.
