Job summary

BaxterStorey is seeking a creative, inclusive and passionate Head Chef in The City of London. You will lead a kitchen delivering premium restaurant and workplace dining experiences, shaping menus, ensuring exceptional quality and strong leadership.

Join a premium contract catering site where you can develop talent, drive culinary excellence and set workplace dining standards. You will mentor your team, manage budgets and collaborate with clients to deliver memorable experiences.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Head/Executive Chef or similar role.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Financially astute with budgeting and cost control experience.
• Excellent coaching, delegation and influencing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Outstanding communication and organizational skills.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You will be a proactive and empowered Chef with a creative approach to food and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences in both our retail restaurant and fine dining hospitality. You should have extensive knowledge of the premium restaurant sector and be experienced in delivering exceptional food offerings. Strong leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a Head/Executive Chef or similar role
• Have an obsession for food and creating experiences
• You can demonstrate that managing, training, and supporting a team has been an important part of your career to date
• Financially astute, you are very analytical and know how to create and maintain budgets and drive commercial performance
• Excellent coaching, delegation and influencing skills
• Ability to prioritisemultiple projects in a fast-paced, multi-faceted, creative environment and able to thrive under pressure
• Meticulous organisational abilities and a high attention to detail
• Empathetic, clear and highly effective verbal and written communication
• Ability to adapt to challenges and opportunities with a solution-oriented perspective
• Excellent strategic thinking and critical reasoning skills
