Job summary

Chester Zoo is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead the Food & Beverage team, crafting menus for flagship venues and events. You will partner with the Executive Head Chef to drive quality, training, and sustainable practices across the site.

You will manage stock, budgets, and supplier relations, while mentoring chefs to deliver outstanding guest experiences in line with the zoo’s mission.

Qualifications

• Significant chef experience at a senior level in quality food environments.
• Experience developing menus and products aligned with current market trends.
• Ability to communicate clearly and gain buy-in at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Source, select and procure food products within ethical and sustainable guidelines.
• Collaborate with Executive Head Chef on new projects and training of offers.
• Manage stakeholders and ensure best value while meeting KPIs.
