Ascot Grange Care Home, part of Avery Healthcare Group Ltd, is seeking a Head Chef to lead the kitchen team. You will deliver nutritionally balanced meals, including texture-modified diets per IDDSI, while managing costs and supplier relationships.

You will oversee kitchen and Host staff, train junior staff, and ensure safe practices and compliance with right-to-work requirements. DBS clearance is required.

Formación

• Two years managing a culinary team in the care or hospitality sectors.
• Relevant catering qualification: City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2, or NVQ.
• DBS check and proof of right to work in the UK.

Responsabilidades

• Lead culinary team to provide nutritionally balanced meals within budget.
• Prepare modified diets in line with IDDSI guidance.
• Place orders with approved suppliers within budget limits.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure quality provisions.
• Supervise kitchen and Host staff.
• Instruct unqualified staff in basic food preparation.
• Practise safe systems of work and assess risk when moving loads.
