We're looking for a Head Chef to work at a busy hotel and restaurant, located in Whitstable, Kent. We offer a high standard of cuisine and service, catering not only to our business guests but also hosting a variety of events, including weddings, corporate functions, and private parties. We’re looking for an experienced Head Chef to join our team and lead our talented kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring exceptional food quality and consistency
  • Develop seasonal menus tailored to both our hotel guests and private events
  • Oversee food prep, stock control, and inventory management
  • Work with event coordinators to deliver outstanding dining experiences for weddings, parties, and functions
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety
  • Motivate and train kitchen staff to foster a collaborative, high-performing team
About You
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef (or Sous Chef) in a high-volume, event-driven environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team
  • Expertise in menu planning, budgeting, and stock control
  • Passion for food innovation and excellent presentation
  • Solid knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (Level 2/3 Food Safety cert preferred)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, especially during events
