The Knot Inn is a thriving family-run countryside pub with a rich heritage and a prime location for tourists, walkers and cyclists. Were known for excellent food and genuine hospitality and are looking for a creative Head Chef to lead our kitchen and take our menu to the next level.

The Role

As Head Chef, youll lead a motivated team, create a seasonal and inclusive menu, and showcase local produce. Youll have hands-on responsibility for maintaining high standards, managing costs and inspiring the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and update a creative, seasonal menu
  • Plan daily and weekly specials
  • Lead, train and motivate the kitchen team
  • Maintain efficient kitchen procedures
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, food hygiene and health & safety
  • Manage food costs and contribute to profit targets
Requirements
  • Strong culinary skills and attention to detail
  • Proven kitchen leadership in a busy environment
  • Supportive, inspiring management style
  • Up-to-date knowledge of food safety (Level 3 Food Safety Award preferred)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Hours

Full-time, 5 or 4 days out of 7, including weekends and bank holidays, with potential for increased flexibility as the team grows.
