Overview

The Catering Department is a busy and multi‑functional area of the Hospital, providing meals for patients and staff and meeting the Hospitality Services/Catering requirements for the wider Trust customers. The role extends to the catering provision of our Ellesmere Port Hospital and will require regular visits to ensure catering standards are consistently met. A full driving licence is required.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Head of Catering Services.
  • Manage the catering team within the department.
  • Produce high‑quality food for patients and staff.
  • Deliver excellent customer service.
  • Maintain and improve catering standards across all locations.
Qualifications
  • Good grounding within the catering industry, preferably with an advanced certificate or diploma and a minimum NVQ Level 3.
  • Relevant equivalent experience.
  • Strong time‑management, leadership and organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and delegate tasks.
  • Good working knowledge of computer software (Word, Excel) and strong administration skills.
