Job summary

Prezzo Italian is seeking a high-energy Head Chef to lead the kitchen and drive a strong team culture. You will oversee daily operations, deliver Italian favourites, and ensure outstanding guest experiences across a busy dining room in the UK.

You will partner with the General Manager to manage stock, waste, and costs, while maintaining high food standards. This role offers 48 hours across five days and a structured, supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Kitchen leadership: Experience as a Head Chef or strong Senior Sous Chef in a busy, fast-paced kitchen.
• Commercial know-how: Understand stock, waste, labour and kitchen costs to run an efficient operation.
• People skills: Positive, hands-on leader who coaches people and builds a strong kitchen team.
• Pride in every plate: Great guest experience starts in the kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the front and develop a brilliant team, working closely with the General Manager to make the restaurant a success.
• Deliver consistently great food and maintain high kitchen standards while managing stock, waste and costs.
• Lead the kitchen rota in conjunction with the General Manager and ensure healthy work/life balance for the team.
• Utilise the Prezzo app and scheduling tools to view and swap shifts, with opportunities to work at other Prezzo locations.

You'll be at the heart of our restaurant, leading your kitchen team and serving the Italian food our guests know and love. Earn £15.45-£17.51 per hour, plus tronc.

Work that works for you.

Contracted hours are 48 per week across 5 days.

You’ll lead our restaurant team and in conjunction with your General Manager be responsible for your kitchen rota.

We understand the importance of achieving a healthy work/life balance and we aim to issue shifts in advance so that you can plan life around work.

We also have a cool app where you can view schedules and drop, swap and give shifts.

You’ll have regular hours at your 'home restaurant' plus ability to pick up additional hours through working at other Prezzo locations.

We plan inductions well so that you're set up for success and regularly check in on our Head Chefs.
