Job description
Job Summary

We are delighted to announce a new 16‑bed service based in Doncaster that will welcome patients from Rotherham, Doncaster and North Lincolnshire. The unit supports patients with complex mental health issues, offering a focus on rehabilitation. Patients may be in the service for up to 12 months and, through a multi‑professional approach, will receive recovery‑focused care.

If you do not already hold a Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience, RDaSH offers this post alongside the opportunity to complete a Level 3 apprenticeship relevant to your role. Apprentices receive regular training with a college or other training organisation; around 20 % of your working hours will be spent training or studying, leading to a nationally recognised qualification.

Main Duties
  • Deliver high quality, patient‑centred, compassionate care under the direction of a Registered nurse or senior manager, promoting health and independence.
  • Engage people with therapeutic interventions in group and 1:1 settings.
  • Work as part of a designated clinical and care team, focusing on the direct needs of the individual.
  • Carry out specific clinical and care tasks to a high standard and competency.
  • Work without direct supervision, delivering care independently in line with the individual’s plan of care, accessing advice when needed.
  • Follow the plan of care agreed by the relevant professional.
  • Report any issues or problems to senior staff.
  • Liaise with other agencies to provide testing and support.
