Overview

Background and Job Purpose

Hyundai Capital UK Ltd was established in 2012 to provide funding solutions for retailers and consumers. The Network Development Manager reports to the Sales Director for Hyundai Finance and is responsible for enhancing the dealer network’s performance across all brands by implementing strategic training, commercial initiatives, and aligning with OEM and internal sales strategies. The role also focuses on EV migration, compliance, and sales enablement to ensure consistent growth and regulatory adherence throughout the UK.

Key Accountabilities
General Strategic
  • Drive performance and growth across the UK dealer network in conjunction with Business Development Managers (BDMs).
  • Identify performance gaps using KPIs such as finance penetration, used car sales, and customer retention.
  • Design and implement tailored training programs regionally.
  • Collaborate with regional BDMs to promote finance product adoption and network profitability.
  • Support electric vehicle (EV) adoption and promote digital tools.
  • Work with marketing and sales teams to enhance retention strategies and support dealers.
Planning

Develop and execute quarterly and annual strategic and tactical plans aligned with commercial objectives, focusing on performance improvements and coordinating training initiatives.

Budgetary Control

Manage budgets for training, dealer support, and campaigns, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance. Collaborate with finance and senior leadership to evaluate ROI and optimise resources.

Stakeholder Engagement

Establish and maintain strong relationships with field teams, network partners, OEM training teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and success of commercial initiatives.

People Development

Support BDM development by providing tools, resources, and structured learning modules, while fostering continuous improvement and professional growth within the Commercial Department.

Business Development

Develop understanding of support levels across accounts and implement strategies to optimise engagement and performance with supporting and non-supporting accounts.

Customer Retention

Analyse retention KPIs, identify improvement areas, and collaborate with marketing and sales to enhance customer loyalty and repeat business.

Risk & Compliance

Ensure oversight of dealer activities focusing on compliance with FCA regulations and Consumer Duty requirements. Monitor sales processes, financial promotions, and adherence to legal and regulatory standards including data usage and advertising content.

Other Information
  • The role is remote based with frequent UK travel, including regular overnight stays.

Remuneration and Benefits
  • Salary range: £55,000 - £65,000 depending on expertise / experience.
  • Eligibility for an annual bonus up to 15% based on performance.
