Job summary

A local healthcare provider is seeking a Health Care Assistant (HCA) in Stoke Poges. Job description

A Health Care Assistant (HCA) is a trained member of the clinical team who supports doctors, nurses, and other clinicians by carrying out essential clinical and administrative tasks.

Essential 2 years experience working within a GP surgery or hospital setting is necessary to apply

Main duties of the job

Conduct blood pressure measurements, pulse, temperature, oxygen saturation

Undertake ECGs

Measure height, weight, BMI, waist circumference

Perform urinalysis, peak flow readings, and basic observations

Assist with chronic disease monitoring (e.g., basic diabetes/BP checks as directed)

Provide new patient health checks

Carry out NHS Health Checks

Perform simplewound care / dressings

  • Support patient recall for annual reviews

Threeways Surgery is a GP (General Practice) clinic based in Stoke Poges (Pennylets Green, SL2 4AZ), serving a semi-rural community of around 6,400 registered patients.

The surgery has modern and purpose-built facilities (the building dates from 2008) and is designed to support general practice as well as training for new GP's.
