Job Details

Outside The Box Recruitment is currently recruiting for highly experienced Haute Couture Seamstresses, a full-time on-site role.

In this role, you will be creating bespoke couture collections and one-of-a-kind gowns for clients and VIPs from around the world. Working with the most luxurious fabrics, each piece requires exceptional craftsmanship and extensive experience.

Our client has a close-knit atelier team, where individual expertise is valued and collaboration is essential to problem-solve and perfect each garment during development.

This is an exciting time to join this brand, as their luxury West London Atelier has recently expanded to double its size. Selling to UHNW / VIC global clients.

We are searching for team members with a true passion for couture craftsmanship and with a minimum of ten years' experience of working in a similar Haute Couture Atelier who can confidently perform the key duties and responsibilities required.

You will be working hand in hand with the artisan team, contributing to the creation of extraordinary couture pieces while growing alongside the brand.

The Role:
  • Reporting into the Atelier Manager & Working closely with the Haute Couture Collection Development Director to manage projects and deadlines.
  • Create bespoke couture gowns and collection pieces for private clients and VIPs.
  • Handle luxurious fabrics with precision and care, ensuring flawless quality.
  • Apply advanced couture techniques such as lace applique, embroidery, draping, and moulding of fabrics.
  • Collaborate with the atelier team to problem-solve garment development and ensure the highest standards of construction.
  • Support fittings with specialised knowledge in corsetry, structural design, garment construction, and precise fit.
  • Maintain composure, positivity, and professionalism in a dynamic couture environment.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Minimum 10 years' experience working in couture and luxury womenswear.
  • Extensive expertise in creating couture eveningwear and bespoke dresses.
  • Strong understanding of corsetry, structure, patterns, and garment construction.
  • Confidence in working with luxury fabrics such as duchess satin, silk, satin chiffon, organza, crepe, and crepe satin.
  • Excellent knowledge of couture techniques, achieving the highest level of precision and finishing.
  • Delicate handling of fabrics and meticulous sewing skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, hardworking, and positive under pressure.
  • Accustomed to working to tight deadlines and being able to multitask across changing priorities.
Hours and environment

Your normal working week will be 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break.

The hourly rate of pay will be £28. You will be asked to work additional hours, paid at the agreed rate of the contract.

You will be working in a collaborative atelier space with access to free parking, dependent on availability.
