Job summary

NW Recruitment Services Ltd. is recruiting two General Packing & Agricultural Operatives for an assignment in Ormskirk (Halsall area). The roles involve packhouse packing, greenhouse planting and harvesting, with potential for a permanent position after an initial 12 weeks based on performance.

The schedule is Monday–Thursday 07:30–16:00, Friday 07:30–15:00 with overtime on Saturdays during busy periods. Rates start at £13.00/hour up to 39 hours, rising to £16.00/hour thereafter.

Qualifications

• Experience in packing, sorting, and handling agricultural produce.
• Comfort working in a packhouse and greenhouse environment.
• Ability to follow hygiene and quality procedures.
• Reliable and motivated with good attendance.
• Willingness to work overtime on Saturdays when required.

Responsibilities

• Packing, sorting, and picking agricultural produce ready for distribution.
• Working within the greenhouse to plant seedlings and harvest mature crops.
• Assisting with general harvesting and maintaining product quality standards.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with hygiene and quality procedures.
• Maintaining tidy, efficient work areas within both the packhouse and greenhouse.
• Carrying out occasional yard and general farm assistance duties during low-production periods (infrequent).
