Job summary

Siemens EDA is seeking a Software Engineer with a few years of experience to explore embedded systems and CAD of electronic systems. You will work with hardware security architects and a global team to design security mechanisms and ensure products function safely from launch.

You will lead security strategy development while collaborating across QA, support, and marketing to deliver innovative solutions, using the latest tools and technologies including AI/ML, and benefit from Siemens’ hybrid

Qualifications

• Software programming skills for cloud and embedded systems.
• Scripting and extension languages such as TCL or Python.
• Knowledge of ASIC or IP design flows.
• Computer-Aided Design / Electronic Design Automation Software skills.
• Knowledge of cryptography primitives, side-channel attacks, and fault injection methods.
• Graphical and command line user interface development.
• Working knowledge of markup languages such as XML/YAML.
• Use of software management and CI tools such as Jenkins CI or Gitlab CI systems.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Software Engineer with a few years of experience and an interest in exploring the world of embedded systems and Computer-Aided Design of electronic systems. Our system-wide silicon monitoring, bring-up and debug infrastructure helps silicon engineering teams ensure their products do what they were designed to do, safely and securely, from day one of launch. You will be working with hardware security architects responsible for designing security mechanisms and cyber security IP, and help specifying HW/SW interfaces and security SW stack. You will be advising and collaborating with a team of experienced HW and SW engineers to accomplish this goal.

You will be working as part of an international team with fellow software and hardware development engineers, as well as quality assurance, customer support, documentation, and product marketing engineers. Together we continuously strive to develop innovative products using the latest tools and technologies across different areas including Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. You will have the opportunity to responsibly lead our overall security strategy that adds significant value to our products and solutions and further improve your personal and professional skills and knowledge.

• Experience in automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications (e.g., Kubernetes)

Our Benefits & Rewards

The salary range for this position is GBP 65,700 to GBP 115,100 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
