HP's Security Lab is seeking an engineer focused on platform security for endpoint devices, with emphasis on hardware‑firmware co‑design and robust hardware roots of trust. You will collaborate with business R&D teams to ensure business impact drives development strategy.

You will contribute to HP’s security research, analyzing use cases and threats, and prototyping novel security architectures to inform future products and services, working closely with security engineers across HP.

• Solid technical skills with a background in computer engineering and architecture.
• Knowledge of hardware and firmware technologies (x86, ARM, UEFI, PCIe, DMA, etc.).
• Understanding of enterprise IT architectures and security.
• Ability to convey technical knowledge to both technical experts and non-technical teams.

Wehave an exciting opportunity to join our Security Lab. The role will be focused on designing platform security for endpoint devices, with particular emphasis hardware-firmware co-design and on designing and using robust hardware roots of trust and security properties. You’ll also collaborate with business R&D teams to ensure business impact drives our development strategy.

You willbecontributing to HP’s security research, contributing to analysis of use cases and threats, as well as design and prototyping novel security architecture to help inform the design of future products and services. You will beworking closely with systems security research engineers, and with security technologists across HP.
The candidatewillhavesolidtechnical skills andabackground in computer engineering and architecture, ideally with knowledge in systems security and some understanding of enterprise IT architectures. This position requires a strong engineer who can communicate effectively about low level computer architecture and security.

Job Requirements

• Experience with hardware and firmware technologies (x86, ARM, UEFI, PCIe, DMA, etc.)

• Anability toconvey technical knowledge to both technical experts and non-technical teams alike

• Knowledge of OS kernel and hypervisor security
• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent
