Job summary

A reputable construction firm is seeking a skilled Handyperson to take on a range of tasks such as installing metal tracks and plasterboard. The ideal candidate will have a current CSCS card and at least 2 years of experience in General Building. Responsibilities include managing tasks assigned by Project and Site Managers and ensuring daily snag sheets are completed. This role offers flexible pay rates between £19-£22 per hour on a full-time temporary contract.

Job description

• Role: Handyperson
• Location: Portsmouth
• Contract type: Temporary (Full time)
• Start date: 05/12/26
• Duration: 3 years
• Pay rate: £19- £22 per hour.

The role

As the Handyperson / Multi-Trader on the project you will be responsible for:

• Working under the supervision and management of the Project Manager, Site Manager.
• Receiving job lists including but not limited to installing metal track, metal stud with a concrete board finish.
• Potentially dry lining the plasterboard as well as carpentry items
• Checking drawings and setting out works to be completed.
• Handing back snag sheets each day to show works completed.

About you

• You will need a current and valid CSCS card.
• Own a selection of hand tools and power tools.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

To be successful in your application for this role you will have and be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes

• You MUST have a current and valid CSCS card.
• A minimum of 2 years+ experience within the General Building space.
