Job summary

FPMR Ltd in London, NW8 is seeking a reliable Handyperson / Cleaner to join a well-maintained residential development. The role involves cleaning communal areas, grounds maintenance and handyman duties across a busy site.

The schedule is 2 days cleaning, 1 day grounds maintenance and 2 days handyman tasks, with potential for variation based on development needs. Temp to Perm, £13ph + VAT, starting ASAP.

Qualifications

• Reliable, hands-on Handyperson / Cleaner.
• Experience in cleaning and general maintenance/handyman work.
• Comfortable using basic hand and power tools.
• Experience with pressure/jet washing recommended.

Responsibilities

• Clean communal lobbies, corridors, staircases, lifts, reception, gym, changing rooms and toilets.
• Maintain grounds: litter picking, sweeping, watering plants, leaf clearance.
• Carry out handyman tasks: minor repairs, DIY, painting/decorating touch-ups, replace bulbs.
• Carry out routine checks and report defects, damage, leaks or blockages.
• Support contractors and Building Manager when required.
• Assist with day-to-day upkeep of the building.

Handyperson / Cleaner

Temp to Perm | £13ph + VAT

We're looking for a reliable, hands-on Handyperson / Cleaner to join a well-maintained residential development in London, NW8.

This is a varied role for someone who enjoys being practical and getting stuck in. You'll be responsible for helping keep the development, communal areas, grounds and facilities looking their best, alongside carrying out general handyman and maintenance tasks.

What you'll be doing

The role will broadly be split across:

• Cleaning - communal lobbies, corridors, staircases, lifts, reception, gym, changing rooms, toilets and other shared areas

• Grounds maintenance - litter picking, sweeping, watering plants, leaf clearance and general upkeep of external areas

• Handyman duties - minor repairs, general DIY, painting and decorating touch-ups, replacing light bulbs and carrying out adjustments to fixtures and fittings

• Using pressure/jet washing equipment where required

• Carrying out routine checks of the development and reporting any defects, damage, leaks, blockages or other issues

• Supporting contractors and the Building Manager when required

• Helping with the general day-to-day upkeep of the building

The working week will typically be around 2 days cleaning, 1 day grounds maintenance and 2 days handyman/maintenance, although priorities can change depending on the needs of the development.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who is:

• Hands-on and practical, with good general DIY skills

• Experienced in both cleaning and general maintenance/handyman work

• Comfortable using basic hand and power tools

• Ideally experienced with pressure/jet washing

• Able to work independently and organise their own workload

• Confident identifying and reporting maintenance issues

• Professional and approachable when dealing with residents and contractors

• Reliable, punctual and consistent

Previous experience working within a residential block, estate or similar environment would be a real advantage.
