Academia is seeking a highly organised Purchasing & Supply Chain Executive to support day-to-day operations across Purchasing and Sales Order Processing. The role is hands-on, demanding ownership and proactive problem solving, with a maternity-cover 12-month fixed-term contract.

Qualifications

• Hands-on and proactive with willingness to take ownership.
• Highly organised, able to manage a varied workload and work under pressure.
• Experience in Purchasing, Procurement,Supply Chain or similar operational environment.
• Confident and collaborative, good at building relationships with Sales, suppliers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Create and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely issuance.
• Coordinate with Sales Order Processing and internal teams to support customer requirements.
• Proactively follow up outstanding orders and manage supplier lead times and delivery dates.
• Identify and mitigate potential supply issues before they impact customers.
• Support day-to-day planning and prioritisation across Purchasing and Sales Order Processing.
• Provide clear updates on order status and delays to stakeholders.
