Job summary

Macphie Ltd is seeking a Production Team Lead for our Glasgow area site. This hands-on role requires leading from the front on the production floor, coordinating a two-week rotating shift, and ensuring safety, quality and efficiency across the team.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in busy production environments, preferably FMCG.
• Strong adherence to Health & Safety standards and good communication.
• Hands-on leader who trains and develops teammates.

Responsibilities

• Take a hands-on role on the production floor and support the shift plan.
• Lead and supervise production activity to meet quality and hygiene standards.
• Motivate colleagues to achieve team objectives and KPIs.
• deputise for the Shift Manager when required and support induction/training.
• Ensure safe working practices and audit readiness, health & safety compliance.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Planning to maximise equipment availability.
• Monitor performance and identify continuous improvements in ways of working.
• Utilise ERP/stock systems to support day-to-day production activities.
