Job summary

SPP Flexible Packaging is seeking a Production Shift Manager for the Shepshed site to run the daily schedule across slitting, label application and the warehouse, ensuring the right jobs move in the right order and leading from the front on the shop floor.

This is a dynamic, hands-on role requiring strong leadership, operational focus, and a pragmatic approach to issue resolution on the floor. You’ll oversee the slitting line and coordinate multiple teams to maintain output and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Slitting machine experience is essential and used regularly on the shop floor.
• Strong organisational and leadership skills with ability to reprioritise quickly.
• Self-managing, can-do attitude; able to sort issues on the floor, not just escalate them.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage the daily/weekly production schedule.
• Lead and coordinate slitting, finishing processes and warehouse teams on shift.
• Operate the slitting line directly when required using hands-on experience.
• Monitor output against plan and quality standards, resolve issues as they arise.
