Job summary

Skilled Careers is recruiting an MEP Manager (mechanically biased) to deliver the mechanical and electrical services on a major Guildford construction project. The role is boots-on-the-ground, with responsibility for on-site M&E delivery, coordinating subcontractors and driving installation, commissioning and handover.

You will work with the Project Manager, site team and consultants to ensure safety, quality and programme alignment, managing QA, testing and snagging through to practical

Qualifications

• Experience delivering M&E on-site for major projects.
• Ability to read drawings, specs and technical information.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and driving packages to handover.
• Strong QA, commissioning and handover knowledge.
• Delivery-focused, boots-on-the-ground mentality.

Responsibilities

• Take day to day responsibility for the M&E delivery on site.
• Manage mechanical and electrical subcontractors and ensure works progress to programme.
• Coordinate M&E activities with the wider construction programme.
• Review drawings, specifications, and installation information.
• Identify design or coordination issues and drive to resolution.
• Carry out quality inspections and ensure installations meet standards.
• Manage QA documentation, inspections, testing and snagging.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and address delays or workmanship.
• Attend M&E coordination, progress and subcontractor meetings.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning activities and handover documentation.
