Trapeze Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking a practical Mechanical Technician to join a growing team. You will service, maintain and repair scissor lift platforms and assist with broader production machinery maintenance.

The role suits someone with a genuine interest in mechanics, a can-do attitude and willingness to learn. The position runs Monday to Friday, 6am–3pm, with a rural location requiring own transport.

Qualifications

• Practical hands-on approach to mechanics and machinery.
• Ability to diagnose faults and develop practical solutions.
• Comfort with basic electrical/electronic systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and inspections of scissor lift platforms.
• Perform preventative maintenance to keep equipment safe and reliable.
• Diagnose faults and assist with mechanical repairs as needed.
• Identify worn parts and replace consumables and components.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Keep accurate maintenance records and collaborate with production teams.
• Assist with basic electrical fault-finding when appropriate.
